It was another snowy day for running.  I got up at 5:40am and did a good 10 miler by my self.  My pace went up and down but for the most part I ran an 7:30-8:00 min. average.  It was alittle slushy in parts so my feet were wet when I got home.

I did a great big hill work out with some friends that kick my butt.  The hill was a constint up for about a mile and a half.  The workout reminded me of how much work I have to do before spring gets here.

Today I ran twice.  I got up at 7:00am and ran a 4 mile rolling hill course.  I love this course because I run the hills faster than the rest of the run.

Then after work I did another 3 miles with Tammy and looked at the Christmas lights.

Welcome to the blog! Sorry about the blank sleep time. This is a new feature. The data is being gathered, I just need to finish it so that it will also be displayed.

After workI went to the Olympic Oval to do a  pyramid workout.  I normaly run with Coach in the morning but today I had to go to this dumb meeting.  The plan was to do 2X200s, 2X300s, 2X4002, 2X300s, and 2X200s. I was only able to do half the workout.  After the first 400 I felt so weak and died.  I should have been able to finish but it just was an off day and I don't have many of them.

200s:  32sec, 32 sec

300s:  55 sec, 55 sec

400s:  69 sec, 77 sec

300s:  DNF

200s:  DNF

It was a rainny morning and I loved it.  I did a 7 mile out and back.  The first mile was flat and then I was on 2 mile up hill.  I hit the half way mark and was happy that the rest of my run was all down hill.  For the most part I let the hill take me down with alittle push.  On the down hill I ran at a 6:30 pace easily.  I love hill workouts.

Welcome to the blog...nice run. Nice progression on your PR's stick around and you will find plenty of motivation to keep bringing them down.

Chris- Welcome to the blog. Sorry we missed you on Saturday. We had a good group of about 12 there in Kearns, and it was a tough workout. Andrea brought a friend named "Shawn" there who is a guy you would like to talk to. He was pretty fast, but what made him interesting was his ultra experience. He did the Wasatch 100 this year, and he runs quite a few ultras. Hopefully, he'll join us again soon.

It was a very cold morning to be running 18 miles in short.  I met early for some extra miles with some others.  Someone said it was 10 degress outside.  I started at the capital for an out and back.  The turn around was at the post office on sunny side by the zoo.  I like this run because it goes throught the avenues, past the Universtiy hospithal and then to the zoo.  The course goes up and down whith not many flats.

Welcome to the blog. I believe that I saw you a few times during the Boston marathon this year. If you were wearing a Locomotion singlet, I remember passing you right before the turn on to Boylston.

I don't like it when people don't shovel the snow off the sidewalks.  I ran a different route today and found it tought to run on the sidewalks.  O.k.  I will cut them some slack it just snowed.  Other than the sidewalk problem it was a good run.

I had to run on a treadmill today.  My wife works a graveyard shift Thursday night into Friday morning and my wife would shoot me if I left the kids home alone.  Some days the treadmill is helpful.  You set the pace you want to run and if you don't keep up you fall off or slow down.  You can forces yourself to run faster.  I started at a 8:00 pace for the first mile warmup and then droped it to 7:19 for the last 4 miles.  It felt good to run inside and not have to wear 3 or 4 layers of cloths.
